Ant, Rhytidoponera chalybea and Slater, Porcellio.

Ant, Rhytidoponera chalybea and Slater, Porcellio scaber.
These dudes are my "pets" theres a colony in behind a wall that borders this property.
Most mornings they are one of the first things I have a look at to see what they are dragging home for their "family"
They have an amazing amount of strength and grip in their feet.
Very cool and pretty little critters.
Body length is about 7mm.

Excellent. Subject and processing are both wonderful. I too have an ant hill out back that I enjoy watching from time to time. They really are quite interesting creatures.

As long as they stay outside and don't think the fruit on the bench needs recycling.

I'm sure this image is interesting enough to stand on its own without all the P/Shop trickery, which takes away a lot more than it adds

Strangely enough there is not really much trickery involved in this image, unlike some images here at Dreams.
Sharpening and colour balance bit of tonal smoothing, not much else.
It's great that the image managed to push enough of your buttons to get you to leave a comment, guess it's why we play this blog game ay ?!
Have fun and maybe you might drop back for more Dreams ?

Glassy is the intention cos thats what these little beasts look like.
Mother Nature creates these amazing jewels for us to find.

Strange pets, you have here.. ;) I used to spend hours when I was a kid, watching them build their homes. Would drop tiny bits of food around them too, n watch them carry it back home.. They really have a lot of strength, dont they?
