Miomantis caffra, Praying Mantis.

Another shot of one of my favorite insects, Miomantis caffra the Praying Mantis.
This girl used to come inside every night and had her own sleeping place on top of the cupboard.

Very cool! the mantis almost looks 3D, and love the capture one can almost see the look in his eyes.. I also like the angle

This girl is one of your countrymen !
It's common name is Springbok Mantis.
They were first seen in New Zealand in 1976 and have since spread over most of the North Island.
