Counting Coy Sheeps.

One of the idiosyncrasies of the English language.
1 Sheep, 2 Sheep, 3 Sheep etc ... Theres no s on the end to make it plural.
New Zealand has a human population of appx. 4 million and a Sheep population of just over 34 million !

I really don't know about sheep population, but we have over 70 million people here!

70 mil. poor ol NZ couldn't hold or feed that many !
For some reason Sheep are always smiling.
They're either at peace with being Sheep or too thick to realize their fate !

Really nice shot, I never new you had so many of them. But I tell you one thing, I love my New Zealand lamb chops from our local super market, so please, keep those numbers up...

@Roman: Yep Roman NZ is a land of Sheep or should I say we have lots of Sheep here........Hmmmm
Due to drought conditions on the East coast of the North Island we have 11.something % less Sheeps this season than last.
Keep chompin them chops !!!

Sheep always seem to be agreeable.
Not so sure how they feel about it at the end though !

Nice shot Grahame. I didn't realise sheep numbers had dropped so low - I can remember when it was 50 or 60 million sheep vs 3 million people! Maybe that just means I am showing my age. :)

But the change to Dairy (poor buggers) and the drought on the East Coast have sure diminished our woolly lawnmower numbers.

@Sandrine: Cos the English language is nuts, it makes no sense to me and yet it's my native language.
One of my fav. strange plurals is fly, why does it suddenly become a new word, flies ?
