Who Am I - The Sequel.
Posted by Grahame (Mt Maunganui, New Zealand) on 6 February 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.
I'm Amphipsalta cingulata the Cicada.
Native to New Zealand and our largest with a wingspan of 80mm.
NZ has 42 species and subspecies of Cicada all of them unique to us.
These dudes usually emerge at the end of Jan early Feb and are currently kicking up quite a racket, hence their common name Clapping Cicada.
Hi folks,
Hope you enjoy the Dreams.
All feedback is enjoyed.
