Tsunami Apartments.

This is in the category of what the fk were the architects thinking ??
I'm standing on the sand dunes over the road from an apartment building called Tsunami.
The building was finished about 3 years ago, there no full time residents and very few "weekenders" ie none.
The land it sits on was bought for 4mill Kiwi$ ( Currently 2.7 us or 1.89 euro)
Bloody xpensive round here.
It has a roof shape that resembles a wave but not seen from this angle.
Overall the building is an enigma.
The plus for me is it catches some beautiful sunrise reflections.

Grahame, SEEING you back this way is a total de/light, my friend ! I love this enigma of a building caught by you, the reflections are stunning and dreamy (without too much treatment that would have ruined it, it's just perfect level here), I love this and my eyes admire the colors in the sky and over the glass, silverish and golden : a big congrats ! >Take cake :)

Yeha this image almost fell out of the camera looking like this.
Removed the normal Panasonic noise and a blending layer.
As always nice to share one of life's slices of cake with you.

The reflection of the sky in the windows is just stunning. Great photo. Speaking of strange buildings, there's a new condo in Toronto called the Arc and is meant to look like a cruise ship (tall, rounded, and narrow). It was just built on this incredibly tiny, narrow strip of land where I would never have imagined anything being built on! It's crazy and expensive (for a tiny amount of square footage!). Unfortunately, I don't think it reflects the sunrises as nicely as this one does!

Had to go and have a google for your Arc, yep it's certainly an unusual building.
Downloaded the floor plans whooowe I live in a small space but whoever designed them has no concept.
But a cool lookin beast.
In fact did a bit of a tour around Toronto buildings, there's sure some "fun" looking ones there.

Oh it's a terrible building. :) Yes, we have a few fun buildings. Google the new "Crystal" at the Royal Ontario Museum if you're ever bored.

I like the Crystal, but then it is an "art" space not a human space.

The one I liked in your town was the Hyatt, buy an apartment and get 10 years of free travel to there fun establishments.....
Sounds good to me but I don't have enough coin to buy a tent..... :)
