Long-tailed Blue Butterfly, Lampides boeticus.

I like these little flutterbys.
Theyre smaller than your thumbnail and the trailing edges of their wings get beaten around but they still keep fluttering on.

Unfortunately these little flutteybys are quite delicate, most have damaged trailing edges and no "tails".
Springs in the air for you lucky northeners, Autumn is in full swing down here..........roll on November !!!

Great shot, better if the background had been a different color from the butterfly.

A deeper brownish colour...............
But ya just can't fight withe ol Gaia that was her choice of background.

Beautiful butterfly. One I haven't seen before. Terrific presentation with the flower ... the depth of field really intensifies the image.
